Walk around the Morven Park Mansion
This is our annual Black Friday event where we explore the beautiful 18th-century mansion gardens, once the home of Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis, and his wife Marguerite. This is a very beautiful, yet an easy walk after a nice hearty Thanksgiving dinner day.
A view of the Morven Park Mansion |
The historic estate, one mile northwest of Leesburg, VA, was once a plantation home of the Swann Family, of nearby Maryland. It also was a weekend getaway home of Thomas Swann, Jr. who served as the Governor of Maryland beginning in 1865.

The winery offers a variety of light local fare such as goat cheese, manchego and cheddar cheeses, prosciutto, salami, dips, tapenades and hummus, warmed fresh baguettes and freshly made soup. You can also bring your own food to this winery.
