Starting a New Year - 2018

We are going to start off the New Year 2018, as we have been doing in the past many years, by visiting Virginia's ever growing wine region, where we can have a wine and cheese pairing afternoon, with some great views of the countryside, while socializing with old friends and new members of Grapes & Grains.

We have chosen a relatively new winery known for its beautiful view, a cozy barn with warm and friendly ambiance.

A New Year Gathering at a Winery

At Grapes & Grains our first event of the year has traditionally been a gathering of old friends and new as we start another year of fun adventures and new friendship.

We have selected a winery in Loudoun County which is known for its scenic views with rolling hills of farms and vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains along the horizon.

Terra Nebulo Vineyards located in the Catoctin Valley of Loudoun County, is a relatively new winery which opened its doors in 2015. The white grape varieties include Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier, Traminette; and the red grape varieties are Chambourcin and Cabernet Franc.

You can do a wine tasting or choose a glass or bottle of your favorite wine while relaxing in the warmth of their beautiful red farm-style tasting room and socializing with old friends and new members of our social community.

Note: No outside food or drinks are allowed inside the winery which offers a food menu that includes cheeses, charcuterie, baguette, assorted crackers and chips.

No pets are allowed at the winery.
