Few beverages pair well with a cold winter afternoon better than a whiskey, so it's the time of the year that we shift our attention to whiskey tasting and cocktails.

Our next event is a visit to a small batch spirits distillery in the Ivy City neighborhood of Washington DC, that also produces gin and vodka.

Tour, Tasting and Cocktails in DC

In our upcoming event, we will get to explore one of those wonderful creations from the pursuit of the American Dream - Small-batch bourbon, that many of us love for its unique flavor, taste and aromas and importantly at times the unforgettable resonating stories of hard work and creativity, behind its success.

For our Saturday afternoon exploration, we will visit One Eight Distilling in the Ivy City neighborhood of Washington DC.

The distillery gets its name from Article One Section Eight of the Constitution, which among other things provided for the establishment of a district to serve as the nation’s capital.

We will optionally take a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery's 15,000 square foot production space, and sample some cocktails and selection of spirits.

The distillery does not have a kitchen for food, but normally have food trucks available on Saturdays. You can also order delivery from nearby restaurants or bring your own light snacks if you would like.

Note: The optional tour and tasting at One Eight Distilling cost $15/person and includes tasting of (3) spirits and a $10 off any bottle purchase that day. Tour starts at 1:30pm.
